It's Not Just Cake and Ice Cream Anymore...

I remember when I was younger birthday parties involved your parents getting on the phone that hung on the wall, calling all of your family members and friends and inviting them over for cake and ice cream.  And all of this was done within a week!

Well, those days are gone.  For a lot of families, birthday parties are now themed events that require months of planning.  It's not just magicians and clowns any longer.  There are Princess Parties with real live Princesses and Outer Space parties with Moon Bounces.  And the way that you are invited to these?  Through evites, text messages, facebook, email and Twitter all on your cell phone or laptop.

I'm guilty of having these types of parties for my children even right down to the evites and rented children's sized picnic tables.  But I've also learned to create a lot of the party items on my own for half the cost that party supply stores charge.

After spending nearly $150 on a four year old's SpongeBob party complete with Crabby Patties and Pineapple shaped novelty cups, I decided to start doing these things on my own.

And that is how Four Lil' Monkeys Gifts came about.

I'm able to create just as an elaborate party using my own materials that local supply stores can provide you with.

After doing several of my lil' monkey's parties I thought maybe I could share my products and ideas with other parents.

Throughout the next few weeks I'll be posting pics of some of the things that I have done throughout the years.  Keep in mind that I'll start with pics from one of the first parties I created to the most recent.  Kind of  like an "Evolution of the Homemade Party."  I'll also be posting packages and items that are available for special order.
